A wide variety of art tools and materials are demonstated and readily available to the children so they can create their own works of art. Individual and cooperative projects that enhance the monthly curriculum are presented. In addition, we exhibit a different artist's work each month displaying a wide range of styles and cultures from around the world. This allows the children to become familiar with many mediums and artistic ideas.

Music is an important part of the environment. Each month we discuss and listen to a particular composer and style of music....from Bach and Mozart to swing, opera, and dance. We enjoy rhythm band and a wide range of music tapes and CDs from around the world. The children often spontaneously form bands of their own using bells, glockenspiels, African thumb pianos, and zithers. We sing songs on a daily basis and practice movement and balance "walking on the line."
