Diana Williams - Montessori Directress and Owner

Bachelor of Science, CQSW, M.I.A. Montessori Certificate

Diana was employed as a social worker for 13 years in England. She has taught and/or served as director of Montessori schools in the Blue Springs area since 1992. She has been active not only in teaching young children but also in training new Montessori teachers and developing curriculum. She is married and has a son Ben and daughter Jessica.

Vicki Barratt - Montessori Directress and Owner

M.E.P.I. Montessori Certificate

Vicki was involved in many child-centered activities while staying at home to raise her children. Among those was library aide and substitute librarian in the Blue Springs School District, Cub Scout Den leader, and PTA officer. Since 1997, she has taught and/or served as director of Montessori schools in the Blue Springs area. She is married and has two sons, Nicholas and Adam.

Laurie Huseby - Reading Specialist/Teacher

B.S. Elementary Education, M.A. Learning Disabilities and Reading, Montessori Certificate

Laurie has been a public and private school-teacher for 27 years. She gives private piano and flute lessons at home, and is active in local theatre, choir, and church activities. Laurie is married and has five children, two of whom are still living at home. She joined our staff in 2005.

Kari Lyon - Assistant Teacher

B.S. Early Childhood Education and Family & Consumer Science

Kari has been an assistant teacher, lead teacher, and director of preschools in the Lincoln, NE area. She has been a 4-H and Girl Scout leader, and has volunteered at women’s shelters working with children while their mothers received job skills training. Kari has been associated with our school since 2003. Her daughter attended Montessori Children’s House for 3 years; during this time, she was a substitute teacher.
